    YEP, Nerite eggs! They freaked me out the first time I saw them. If you have nerites these things will always be in random places in your tank.

    Usually, yes; although the young may not last long, depending on what you have in your tank. I once had a Wrasse that loved them.

    No, they need brackish water to hatch.

    Sushigirl is exactly right. They need brackish water to hatch. The capsules in our marine tanks are dormant.
