Ok, so I am sure that there is going to be quite a few different answers here based on lighting, water quality, etc....but, what would one expect the typical growth of candy cane coral to be. I have 2 frags with 2 heads each on them and before glueing, I want to have an idea of what to expect as far as growth before placement.

I had a candy cane that that from 3 heads just over a year ago to over 50 now. I fed each head 3 times a week with pieces of cut up shrimp. At first it wasnt too bad but then it got to be almost too much thats why I fragged it. I could still frag alot of it off and have a nice coral. Keep your water params good and you should see excellent growth. I dont know if the growth mine experienced is "typical" but I feel it depends on how much you feed it.

I feed mine every 3-4 days and get a new head split off an existing one every 4-6 weeks or so. The more heads you start off with the more growing / splitting you will see.
