I am near the end of my 55g to 75g switch and I can't get the siphon back on my overflow. It's a single HOB overflow. Their is water in both sides. Problem is when I insert the airline tubing and start to suck to get my siphon all I get is a mouth full of salt water.

This is probably something easy, something I am just forgeting.

    Thanks!

Try hooking it to a powerhead, putting the powerhead in the sump and run the PH while you move the airline to get the air bubble out.

I had the small airline in the u-tube to far in. It was touching the other side of the overflor box. I pulled it out more, gave a big suck and it started right up.

Man I feel dumb! But, I had been working on getting everything switched over for several hours and wasn't thinking clearly.

Sorry I missed the post but I am glad you got it figured out. Do you have pics of the new tank setup or did I miss it also. LOL

Ahhhh yes the fatigue brain freeze. Works every time. Congrats on switching over in such a short time. Sorry to here about the firefish. Hopefully I won't forget to cover my bucket when I switch over to my 75.
