Check out these before and after photos...
Lost power for a day and the anemone hasn't looked the same way.

Is anyone an expert that can tell me if things are dire and what I can do.

All water parameters are acceptable; however, phosphate went from 0 to 1.0ppm and dKH went from 10 to 12 after the temporary power hit. I also lost a flame angel fish during that time period.

I was wondering if a 20 percent emergency water change right now would do the trick... however, if read that you don't want to shock the anemone either. It hasn't eaten since Wed.'s power hit.

I love that thing... check out the before and after pics... quite dramatic!!!!

    It is not...
and the tenticles still sting when I touch them.
I don't know if it's the phosphate level change or if it's just settling in ...
The first pic versus today's is dramatically different...
It is still attached to a rock too

    Any thoughts or tricks?

Just a few things to consider from my experience.

1 Shock did you get it from a good source and acclimate well ?
2 are you adding the correct trace elements ?

Also it might not die when they do the turn into blobs real nasty but I have not lost one in 10 years.

Hey Ryan, do you have a QT? If you do, I would consider moving it. If it dies in there, it's going to be a mess.

What was your take from the photos...
It was acclimated well and bought from a reputable LFS.

Is phosphate at 1.0ppm a concern.... or not reallly?
I don't really want to do the water change unless I have too

I do not have a qt...
but do you think it's going to die?
I mean it's still stuck on a rock... still stings...
and occassional opens for a little... but hasn't looked like the first pick since the power outage...

Do the water change now and add a block of trace elements to dissolve?

I would just do the water change and skip the block of trace elements (they are in your salt).

Also how are your other corals doing? I wonder if the power outage zapped your ground probe.
