I have a extra large carpet anemone that I got from a friend who quit the hobby. I have had it for about two months and it has done wonderfully until today when I added a ph buffer to my tank. It always shrinks up a little when I add the buffer but today closed completely up. My anemone that is usually over 12" is now the size of a baseball. Is this normal?

Are you testing your dkH? "If you add it, test for it."
You may have spiked your pH when you added the buffer.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Carpet nem is fine... He was back to normal by the next afternoon. Sorry for the delay in updating everyone on it's status. Internet has been down for a few days. I will post pics of the nem soon for all to see.
