I purchased a dottyback a few weeks ago. He was working out fine until this last week. Now he is bullying my antenna goby and I am tired of it. I would like to catch him and give him to a neighbor who has a better setup for this fish.

Any ideas on catching the fish without tearing out my rocks?

I know I know.... make sure the fish is good for the tank prior to purchasing. He was with other goby's at the store. I guess he was just smaller and less aggressive at the time.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have have had luck making a fish trap out of a 2 liter bottle and and then also bought a fish trap. The 2 liter bottle worked better. I took a 2 liter cut the top off and cut the end off. I then cut the cap off and turn the top around. This can be seen on you tube under fish trap. I did not make the video but got the idea there. I cought a few fish that way. I have a fish trap and got more with the 2 liter setup. I hope this helps as I have no photos of my setup. I hope it works for you.

Thanks. I'm going to try this. I think 3fish (son named him) is a great fish. He is just making gooby ( son named him too) miserable.

same principle Hydro - also Aquamedic have an off the shelf option of basically same thing called Trap pest - and the fish version is called trap eze - but if your handy enough the home made ones work just as well
