    Hi there everyone :),

So i have this peppermint shrimp, that rips apart and eats my frogspawn. Its really sad to see, and i want him out as quick as possible. Luckily the coral is not very damaged. I tried the bottle trap trick, where i turn off the light, and cut the top of the bottle and turn it upside down into the bottom of the bottle. Then i put some mysis into the bottle, and hope for him to get in. However, hes afraid of my scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, who also tries to get into the bottle to get the food, but hes too big. So he just guards that area, cause hes very curious. Then, whenever the peppermint shrimp comes nearby, he chases him away. I do not know how to catch this shrimp, but one thing is for sure: If i dont catch him within 2 days, my frogspawn will be gone... HELP!

An alternate trick is to corner him away from your corals then squirt him with a turkey baster full of freshwater. That will stun him long enough to be netted out.

What worked for me was to lure them out with some nori on a clip placed near the sanbed in an area big enough to get a net in behind them. When frightened they always dart backward and upward. This is best done after lights out so the fish don't scare them off.
