    I hate to say it but :-[ i have been using tap water.I tested the freshly mixed tap saltwater for nitrates and got 0.This morning i went and got a RO unit and i am waiting for my first lot of water to filter through.

    I can't wait to do my first water change with real water.

    Tap water is like a landmine it hides all the nasty parts just under the cover of soft grass or maybe a little obscure brush. Just because It tested 0 now doesn't mean the second it hits the tank water it wont read some crazy number like 20 =P tap water is not a friend in the reef community =P
