It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Those are beautiful, I do not recall seeing them before. I wonder if they are as aggressive as other basselets.

They are beautiful! I almost bought one once, but after much research, decided it wasn't the fish for me.

I have a swissguard basslet that is beautiful as well, cheaper, and doesn't hide as much as the cave basslets.

Cave Basslets are beautiful for sure :) I also agree with KC on the swissguard basslet, they are closely related, but are a little less money and are out more.

I personally have never seen an agressive basslet besides the blackcaps. Swissguard basslets are cool, though I prefer candy cane hogfish because they are more active. Swalesi basslets and cave basslets tend to hide and lose their coloration because of it, After all, deepwater fish don't need to waste their metabolic energy on pigmentation.
    Still a beutiful fish!

I was like "dude, I want one of these!", until I saw the price. :( Those cae basslets are beautiful...I love the "pink lemonade" color to their scales. Maybe when I am rich someday. :)

If you ever see a Candy Basslet in person, you'll better understand their selling price. Their stripes literally glow with actinics.
