I have a squigly line across the front glass of my tank I think their cerith eggs since thats the only snails I have in here. Anyone know how long they take to hatch?

    LOL..
And the only reason I say that, is if they do hatch.. I'll have millions.. !!
I have 3 that have laid eggs like that around 8 times in the last 4 weeks..

I have asked befor and was told thay want.. hatch..
Maybe someone can tell us, if there's a way to get them to hatch and raise off in an home tank..

    Good Luck, Larry

I just bought 10 snails and one was releasing a big cloud of milk in the tank. I wonder if they will lay eggs too. At the least, it will be good fish food if they do. :)

hate to steal a thread but just wanted to post yesterday I too had a cerith spawn. I noticed a male cerith brawdcast spawning and then notice a female up the water flow releasing eggs right past him. I don't know if they will hatch but at LFS they have them reproduce all the time. That is how I got them in the first place they are getting out of control there so they give them out.

I have well over 100 baby jumbo ceriths at the moment, thanks to 3reef I got the posative ID that thats what they are. they range from 1/8th inch to almost 1/2inch and are growing fast...I had 5 jumbos in my 46gal. bow but one just died this week and a large dwarf blue leg is using it as a house now...but I'm gonna keep maybe 3 or 4 of them then trade the rest to the LFS for fish or coral...
