im sure someone has done this already but i was trying to figure out a way to reduce microbubbles without using a sponge + the light is right there anyway. Im hoping when it gets thicker it will filter more bubbles and filter phosphates better.

I thought the chaeto would washout but it doesnt move an inch, stays put between the baffles

what do you guys think? :cheesy:

Here a small amount of chaeto i added in between the baffles

from what i have gathered about chaeto, i think it needs a slower flow acrossed it in order for it to absorb nutrients (nitrates).

im sure the flow through those tiny baffles is pretty fast.

someone please correct me if im wrong.

I have chaeto in another area, this is mainly for the microbubbles but i havent seen any statistical data that shows the effectiveness of chaeto depending on the flow of water.

I think it might stop the micro bubbles. But make sure it doesn't get to thick and slow the water flow. Might be a pain to get/get it out if you needed to.

Actually its super easy to get it out since it stays intact :)

I will watch the waterflow. I'll have to remove some every now and then
