    wait the bandw is in the rbta i want the clowns to pair and the naked to move in with the other them pairing with the nem is not the problem

    Again, just like them hosting it will take time if at all. Its usually a 50/50 shot with different types of clowns. Most people usually keep the same type. I have had my 2 False Perc's for a couple of months and they are now just starting to swim near each other before the other nips and the process repeats.

    Sometimes the dominant clown will allow the other near or into its nem for a quick second the scare it off... It's just a time thing. Patience!!!

    they arent exactly different species they are color variants of an ocellaris clown

    lol... You should be fine, It might never happen that they will pair up though.

    As for the clam, I have a pair of Sharknose Neon Gobies, they have a burry underneat the 6" maxima and they have set up a cleaning station ontop of the mantle, the clam is not phased by this at all.

    Right, but they don't know that. The difference in color/shape is usually why you can't keep some of the same types of fish together in a smaller tank. Clowns usually tend to stay by their types such as False Percs w/ False Percs.... True Percs w/ True Percs and so on... It's just the way it is.... Again, it is a 50/50 shot.... just wait it out.
