    Hi all

Is it normal for my tank ph to change by 0.65 within 24 hours? The ph peaks durning the day at 8.55 than gets to 7.90 during the night.

Yep completely normal, pH will be highest at lights off and lowest in the morning before the lights come on.

my pH ranges from 8.1-8.3 from morning to night.

Your range sounds a bit much to me. I'd be curious about when you dose Alk supplements, if you have a light on your refugium, etc.

(I dose Alk at midnight and don't have a refugium so my tank doesn't "breathe" in that sense).

No dousing at all.... I do have a compact bulb in my sump with some macro. The light comes on when my main lights turn off. I find the swing to be pretty big also... But things seems to be fine in the tank.

Oh, in that cause, it should help to stabilize the pH. Not sure what could be causing the swing. What time of day are you doing you tests?
