Changing ph

    Honestly I do not see that as big swing.

    You can try causing more surface agitation to increase gas exchange.

    Try an ATO with a slow kalk drip.

    If your corals look fine and are growing I would not give it a second thought

    You can also try Parts A/B with some mag, but let the coral appearance be your guide.

    Just my 2 cents..

    Maybe reef keeper has something like that and i dont think its to large of a swing mine goes from 8.3 to 7.99 at night until i started dripping kalk+2 with my ATO and some reef foundation B from redsea.

    It's a 75 gallon with 35 gallon sump. 1.026, 480 cal 10 dkh. Didn't get to check mag.... If other people is swinging that much also I guess it's normal :) here is my chart

    8.02 to 8.25 is my daily swing lately.

    I'm currently bringing my low end further up, but your ph changes sound like a pretty big swing to me.

    With that alk level I would not as I posted earlier give it a second thought.

    I understand the curiosity regarding the value and what part it plays, I do the same thing.

    Sometimes I believe we as hobbyist chase the number, I know because I used to. Now I look at my corals daily if not hourly and if they are going ok all is good (within reason and depending on the corals you keep).

    As always right on point with this comment.I personally never check my ph and never have.Just like Corailline, I look at my tank.If something seems off it prob is.

    Coral and fish doing great. Better to leave it alone I guess :)
