Hmm I see your point though, I guess I wasn't really thinking about the 10 plug power strips. I was thinking about getting a Aquaticlife that had 1 cord and a timer for the three lights but maybe an Odyssea is the way to go?

Well that aquaticlife might be better quality. If you have the money I say get exactly what you want. All I'm saying is that if your on a budget the Odyssea isn't bad at all.

Not all of the odyssea style lights have seperate wires. The 4 bulb on my 75 has one wire & a controller that runs 2 x 2 bulbs, and the moonlights seperate. The 4 bulb I have on my 30 2 wires & 3 switches (2 x 2 bulbs & moonlights), but no controller. I have read some of thier 2 bulbs set ups are just one wire & a one off switch as well. I would say search around ebay and see what you can find as there is multi type of wire/switches setups being sold.

and yes like mentioned if you go this route toss the bulbs on delivery there are truely junk.

Agree. I use the DA controllers and have total control over each individual lighting.

I wouldn't consider myself "on a budget," and still chose Odyssea over any other unit. In my opinion, it's a very functional and practical choice.
