I have recently added some cheata in one of the compartments on the back of my 28gal Nano tank. There is no light over these compartments. Do I need a light over the cheata?? If so. can anyones recommend a small light that would clip on the back? Thanks for your help. SJ

Yes you need light if none gets in from the hood. A small spiral compact fluorescent will work fine.

i have a biocube which is similar to the nanocube. i also turned one chamber into a fuge. i scraped of the paint on the back of the cube using a razorblade and then got a "gang box" from home depot. throw a light socket and a simple ecobulb (the self ballasted compact fluorescent spiral) "daylight" bulb (6500K) into it. cover with plexiglass and slap it on there with velcro. like this:
