So yesterday i got this massive xenia colony from this guy and he gave me like tons of this cheato, i only put in half of it and i put it in the 1st chamber of the biocube. Its got some of my T5HO and a little reflection from my Halide on it, will this take out my nitrates at a good rate? OR atleast will it work.

Did you take the lid off your Biocube and replace the lighting for the light to get in the chambers? Or do you have the HQI model Biocube? The Biocube's first chamber is not that wide, so you may have some issues with light penetrating the bottom of the chaeto mass. If you rotate the ball of chaeto every day so it gets light on all sides of the chaeto mass, it will grow a little better.

If you are able to, I suggest you buy a fuge light and take the bioballs in the second chamber out a little at a time (if you haven't done so already) and grow the chaeto in there. There is more space in the second chamber for chaeto to grow.

As long as chaeto is growing, it will reduce your nitrate by some. How much it reduces depends on how fast and much the chaeto grows. But to be honest, I do not think it will impact nitrates significantly when compared to reducing the overall amount of nutrients going in your tank.

Okay, ill do that..But i just put a MH on the tank. It actually has taken off about 5-8ppm nitrates..Which brings be downs to about 3-5ppm nitrate in the tank.
