Silly goose, I am not offended.

You're right that is great growth, that sure was a sleak sharp looking tank.

You obviously had it dialed in chemistry wise as well as a good lighting system.

Great post! Love the time lapse/growth shots... can't argue with that!

Tank's looking great, Cheryl. Glad to see you haven't made the [STRIKE]mistake[/STRIKE] switch yet. :) I keep thinking about going LED myself, then I find more reason to wait.

Yup Mr. Bill, I hear ya.

Every time I think I am ready to go to the dark side, I see more tanks that go back to MH or T5 or hybrids of all of the above. Pars and every other LED jargon just does not mean as much to me once I see the tanks and how the corals look.

I am not in for the life of the diodes I am in it for the growth and coloration of the corals.

Do not get me wrong there are some fabulous tanks that have better growth and coloration than mine currently does.

Very well stated... I couldn't agree more.

I do agree there are a few that have switched successfully, and someday we all will most likely be using LED, but I prefer to know a particular fixture will work before dumping that much money into it.

I am thinking about adding a couple t-5 tubes to my canopy to support my Bridgelux LED units, myself. I just don't like the growth.

Give it a try, with some quality bulbs I am pretty sure you will see an improvement.

One year of growth. I do not know the name of the acropora. It has a strange growth pattern. Colorful and fast grower. I call it my Chrismas coral, because that is what the guy at the LFS called it when he gave it to me.

New camera images. Need to fix the focus and the a few other details, but it's fun playing with it. Same old coral subject though. :)
