Can't blame a guy for trying, and I will update my numbers on the build thread. :)

I love that red/green contrast with those two corals!

Well I have decided to try Seriatopora guttanus again. Happy Corals is also send a nice Pink Millepora frag, and some cool zoanthids. Really looking forward to trying Birdnest again. If the green works I will try a pink.

Still messing with the camera and it's been a whole 2 days since I posted any images. ::)

Dang, you guys and gals with you're nice cameras, gonna cost me money that should go in the tank, but dang nice looking coral collection Cheryl, still envious and thinking the fall back into sandman land is gonna lead to a led fall as well;)

Gorgeous corals as usual Cheryl, can't wait to see the bird's nest. I couldn't hope but notice you mentioned that you had nutrients in our tank. Are you trying to stay ULNS, or are you experimenting with having some nutrient in your tank to see what colors are better?

What ever it is, you are doing it right :). Looks great, I can't wait to see the new adds.

I'm also fascinated by the evolution of your wild specimen. Perhaps it will morph into that highly desirable yellow you often seem to find interest in?

I will keep my fingers crossed for you in the regard, but just keep doing what you do. You Your tank is always stunning. Nice work Cheryl!

And oh Yeah! Happy New Year (at least here in DC)!

I know right I miss Steve too.

    Thanks Shin

    Thank you. :)

    Hi Thor,

Well with no skimmer I do have some nutrients, I feed every three days the two fish so the phos and nitrates wax and wane on the day of feeding and then quickly tapper off.

When the tank had no sand bed detritus was not accumulating I was vacuuming the bottom every week. The corals did not have the same coloration. As soon as I went back to feeding more every 3 days and added the sand bed the colors improved.

I do weekly water changes but it's a fine balance without a skimmer in a nano. I actually might add another in the future

Thanks for the kind words Thor and Happy New Years back at you.:)

If you do go back to a skimmer and no longer have one, I recommend looking into Eshopps PSK-75H that I run on mine. Very happy with it, and you can easily install it so the hood can open almost all of the way with no mods :)
