I have my chiller set up so that water is drawn from one end of my sump and returned to the sump near my return pump. It seems to work fine but I have read that the chiller would be more efficient if the return went directly to the main tank?

I am just wondering before I rearrange my set up if anyone has a strong opinion one way or another? Would I just be wasting my time making the change to get negligible results?

    Thanks.:)

I always used my return pump to pull it from the sump and return it to the display so I didn't have two pumps. Every pump you add has associated heat gains and power consumption.
I finally eliminated the chiller and now use only fans controlled by my RKL.
