Noticed some chondria on a piece of live rock in my newly cycled tank! ****! Should i remove it or is this a good macro algae?

There is no good macro in the display tank ;)
You can manually remove it, but it can be tough. Chondria grows on a runner, so it will be best to remove the rock and use tweezers to ensure you get all of it out, or it will just come right back. But overall it's a pretty easy algae to beat.

this particular macro is one I would remove. +1 with tweezers, dental pick etc...be surgical about it, don't just brush it off like a madman otherwise the bits will take hold.

not sure I would go that far packleader. :) I may be biased though. ;)

I've kept macro algae I ordered off of reef cleaners in my DT and it was gorgeous. I got so many compliments on how nice it looked. I would just trim it when it grew too much for my taste and it stayed looking lovely.
