I recently set-up my new 75g with a Hamilton 2x250w MH and 2x110w VHO fixture. Everything is stock on the fixture, but the set-up is 6 months old. I think the bulbs are currently 10k...a very white/yellow color...to the point where you can't notice the VHO Super Actinics while the MH are burning.

Anyhow, I want to replace the MH bulbs first. I like them currently, but I'm not as impressed as many people are when they first make the switch from T5 to MH.

I'd like a more blue color, obviously with great productivity. I've read a lot about Phoenix 14K bulbs, and it looks like I may go that route. I've also heard a lot about the new Ushio 14K's. The MH are single ended moguls.

What new bulbs would you fine people suggest I get and where?

Phoenix 14k doesn't make single ended. I'm in the same predicament. Currently have 10k Reeflux.

These are the 3 options I am thinking about getting:

    Hamilton 14k
    Ushio 14k
    Reeflux 12k

Going to BAYMAC and gonna see if there is anything cool or on sale

I am using Ushio 14k 400w. It is a nice crisp blue/white light. I just made the switch about 2 mo ago. These are my first halides, but I will probably stick with these bulbs. Corals are exploding, and I really like the color...not too blue.
