I usually get my tree the first week of December, I think Dec. 3 this year. My lights go on after Thanksgiving, but I will put them up whenever it's dry. So I'll probably put them up this week (supposed to be incredibly cold, like 20 degrees, but dry!) and turn them on the day after Thanksgiving! We put up a TON of lights and it takes so long to get them up, we want them turned on as long as possible!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Well I dug out the LED lights today just to plug them in, because they are so pretty. The boy friend thinks I am crazy, but I love the decorations more than the holidays. Next comes the evening drives to watch everyone decorate and the judging begins.:xmas:

we dont put up alot of lights but i would rather be on the roof at 70 deg. rather than freezing. my daughter wants the tree up today but trying to talk her into waiting till after thanksgiving. plus i put my tank in the wall where we usually put the tree lol. wife said we could put the tree there anyway but i said hell no so we have to find a new place for the tree.

lol. I sure would not want to move a fish tank just to put the tree there, no-matter the size tank. That would suck! :p

Not sure when we will be putting the lights & tree up. Last year we didn't even put up lights. We will probably do it sometime, maybe the first or 2nd week or Dec.

I still have my Halloween decorations up. No tree for me this year, I will be out on the west coast for the week before xmas until new years.

Does it count if I hung up a string of red LED christmas lights in my hood for some night time fun? I spent an hour yesterday installing moonlights? in my hood so I could look at the nightlife in my tank. It is definitely a cool look and there are more bristleworms and little funky snails than I have ever seen during the day.

It is nice seeing the price of LEDs go down. This year they were only $8 for a string of 25 red LEDs and now I have some really nice nightlights ;D
