Twitches dont mean ich, Spots on fish are ich maybe.
Try water quality( Amonia, Nitrate, PH, nitrite) and Salinity are all major factors. Chromis are a very hardy fish so if something within the water quality is lacking it should be easy to find

Cycling can take up to 3 months and considered established at a year. G. Chromis is of the less hearty damsels but, one of the nicest. Twitches don't mean they have ick. Something is irritating them though. Are there visual signs of ick? Heavy gill movement? Lack of swimming? You need to have a test kit if you want to be responsible, successful, at ease, on top of the game, knowledgeable, richer(not losing 50 bucks on a fish that dies a week later). My guess is after a month your nitrates are high from over-feeding or, nitrites have not started their downward spiral. One of the most important pieces of a tank is a test kit. So, go get one tonight and test your water to ease your mind.

    I have a nitrate test. I'm getting 2.5-5ppm. I can't get other tests tonight, though. It's already 9.

The fish have white spots, but I'm not sure if it's ich. The spots don't stand out or anything. It looks almost as if it's the fish's natural color. No heavy gill movement either. They don't swim that much though. Pretty much swim in place, swim in place, when it reaches the other side of the tank, it let's the flow push it back, and then swim in place, swim in place, again.

Another question is what kind of filtration are you useing??
IMO Leave things be #1 ==#2 Check water and do not add any livestock till you know the water is good.

It,s too tempting to fill the tank with all the colorful things at once .
    Go slow and save Dough
HEY DID I JUST COIN A NEW PHRASE???

I thought I was going pretty slow already? I waited 'til everything was 0, added some Chromi, and then a mushroom coral a week later?

I'm pretty sure the water is good. There are plenty of copepods running around.

Copepods don't mean good water quality. You need a test kit.

if everything in your tank died, the copods would be the lat to go.i wonder if this could be a case of stray voltage.i never had luck keeping more than one chromi at a time in my tank.i think i don't feed often enough for chromis

Could also be a case of the fish beating the hell out of each other. If you don't keep fish like chromis in a large-ish school, the aggression is not spread out enough and the dominant fish will eventually pick off what it feels to be the weaker fish (kinda like alot of fresh water tetras do). I've never been able to keep more than one chromis at a time in my tanks for precisely this reason.

I agree with ziggy. Seriously, I would put a grounding probe in. The fact that you have a Rio powerhead makes it worse since they're notorious for putting out stray voltage, more so than other powerheads. Hope that helps.:)
