    have 2 Clarkii's in a 55 gallon fish only.
they are the only 2 fish in the tank.
11 days they've been doing good.
when i got them at the LFS they were alone together as well.

    only thing.

they are about the same size. 1 may be a hair bigger but you can hardly tell.

but one has been sooo agressive to the other that it's chased the more shy Clarkii into a corner of the tank. it just hangs there almost life less especially when the more aggressive clarkii comes around.

some times it looks like its playing dead up in the corner of the tank.

i would too if the other clarkii came flyin' at it and gave it a shot.

i've heard rumors about what this could be. any thoughts?

    (unrelated side question)
ultimate number of crabs/snails to have for a 55 gallon fish only w/ 2 fish in it and 3 star fish

    thanks!

Clownfish will fight, the sky will be blue, and life will go on. This is a normal behavior with clowns. Make sure you target feed the shy clownfish if it's not eating with food fortified with garlic. Otherwise this is normal, though clown fights can get pretty brutal, best not to watch and let them sort it out. Been awhile since I posted and I just went back and checked. I do go into more detail on clownfish behavior in the FAQ in my sig.
