Cleaning Front of 'Fuge

    now that my fuge is starting to build up with a diverse amount of plants and rock, im starting to getting things growing on the front of the glass...Im just wondering if i should scrap it off or leave it on the class and let the fuge serve its purpose...i do like to view it though...

    I think you'll be ok to clean it. Just curious, what do you have growin on the glass?

    all kinds of crazy looking things...

    these little white cone things, white stringy things, and some algae...

    you should be ok cleaning it, i would imagine your string things are spaghetti worms and your cone things might be some sort of feather duster. you should be happy though, thats a good sign that things are starting to thrive and reproduce in your tank.

    thanks, i have macro, chaeto, red grape, and two others im not sure of in there...

    im getting a halimeda? next...

    there are also huge 'pods running around in that thing, i have a 20 gal. long... with a my skimmer and pimp in there...the disadvantage is that its not gravity fed, so the prop. on my pump could be killing a high percentage of the potential 'pods that go up to the tank...

    Yeah, but you'll be fine. Once they get into the main tank they'll reproduce in there too.

    I would leave it to let it continue absorbing nutrients.
