    Phil and all,
The water coming back into the tank here will be at the surface?
I was wanting to put this behind my live rock for better circulation.
They do make a "Y" connection for the PVC pipe and 45 degree connector which would help with the drag or back pressure but really don't think that will be an issue if we use a big enough pump as it only has to pump 2 feet upwards.
If one does not glue the connections in the tank then you could be flexible and put the out flow anywhere in the tank or add a spray bar.
I am looking for BLACK PVC pipe and can't find it down here.
I think black in the tank gives a better look and hides the pipe some what.

Does the SCWD just hang there or does it have a hook to the edge of the tank?

Jakets or is it hi-jacker? LOL I like your idea but it adds 2 more 90's. There is a rule ( Iknow the rule but not the definition) That shows a loss at every 90. The problem with the back pressure even at 2 feet is the use of larger pump, Larger pump=more cost, more noise, More heat and more space taken up. Nautilus's idea of 45's does cut the drag but if the return is to be 2 feet below the surface we once again are talking back pressure.
I love the black pipe idea, I never thought of that Iusually figure the coraline will hid it eventually

The original SCWD schematic that was in the brochure actually shows it 'hanging' by a wire hanger! heh.. I think I posted that in my SCWD product review post.

Phil you could use flex hose all the way to the spray bar and this way you have no 90 degree bends.

    Hi Sir Nautilus...

Same price I just paid for "squid" over at Custom Aquatic.

If you want to take a chance with them...$31.99 here...

    Inreef.com

Is one place CustomAquatic won't price match, as their stuff not always "as advertised"

Still lots more expensive at numbers of other sites then MarineDepot or "CA"...

    Rgds,

just an FYI, the company recomends not to exceed more the 1400GPH or 5psi and no less that 50gph
