    Yesterday morning the tank was clear and 8hrs later after work came back to cloudy tank and rocks seemed to be covered in some stuff. i've attached some pictures to help any idea??? tested water #'s didn't chnage from last test. tank is alittle over 6 months old.

    Calcium precipitation perhaps? Did you dose any supplements before this happened, particularly calcium or buffer?

    you say your numbers didn't change but what are they. A lot happens at night. Consider the drop in PH or the drop in O2 could have caused a Calcium precipitate to form. Or some sort of algae bloom

    The calcium is 500 so alittle high, i just rinsed the canister filter out about 3-4 days ago if that means anything. there were some dead worms of different sizes in the filter.

    Did you just test now and get that "500" number? What are your alkalinity and magnesium at?

    Yes i did just test the calcium, the alk is slightly low and my test kit doesn't have magnesium.

    Bacterial bloom from rinsing the filter it will clear inabout 72 hrs and will clears up as fast as it clouded up. I run my Calcium at 500+ all the time and DKH at 16

    today is day 3 "tangster", also this morning the ph dropped to 7.8 so i'm adding ph buffer to it to get it back up. anyone else have any ideas??

    also if you looks and the pics you can see that in the one the rocks are nice and clean but in the others it looks like sand but it doesn't rub off too easy, also there is brown stuff floating on the top of the water. The only real change was the cleaning of the filter and adding a diamond goby and a keyhole angel.
