I woke up today and noticed that my male clown fish is not doing well at all. Upside down at the overflow. I'm not sure what the issue is. He had been in the tank with another for about a month. Haven't seen any aggression and the other fish appear to be fine.

    Water is fine too
    Ammonia: 0
    NO2: 0
    NO3: 2
    PH: 8.1
    Temp: 79.8

Last water change was 2 weeks ago and no new additions in almost 2 weeks. Only maintenance I've done was remove one small bubble of bubble algae off a Zoa frag last night.

Clown is in the QT tank now. Hope he pulls through.

Are there any spots, lessions, etc on him? Unfortunately, sometimes fish just don't make it for one reason or another and can kick it even if your tank is perfect. Unless you see something physically wrong with him, it is hard to say given your water params are good.

Nope no spots or anything. He is really discolored. I am wondering if the female was harassing him when I wasn't watching

They never paired up really well and I've wondered from the beginning if they were both female. Could be part of the problem. I purchased them from the same tank and they were about the same size.

When yo say discolored is he whitish? Does he look like slime coat is coming off. Would like to eliminate brooklynella (clownfish disease). Did he seem like he is gasping for air?

Yeah whitish. The color they look at night with lights off. I didn't have a lot of time to examine him before work. Just tested the water and moved him to QT.

I have a hard time thinking it could be that. They were in QT for 3 weeks before moving to my DT and they have been in there for a few weeks now.

I suppose it could be a possibility though. Just looked up some pics and they definately look similar. I added 2 zoa frags to the tank about a week and a half ago. only new thing in the system.

If it is, I am not going to be able to do anything until tomorrow. I am at work right now until 230 am.

Look again tonight See if gasping and if slime coat is peeling off. Hopefully just a freak thing. If you do see this then will need to act very quick
