I have a Ocellaris Clownfish in my tank and it seems happy it's about an inch maybe an inch and a quarter, well I wanted to get it a companion and after reading though the forums I had my idea. Went to O street today and picked up a little clown poor little bugger is like half an inch, but feisty! Hoping the smaller clown might be energetic enough to deal with the bigger one just in case. I had a net ready just in case it was too much for him. As soon as I put the fish in the water they went to one another and touched noses. I couldn't help but go aww! it's been about 30 min and they are just BEST of pals it's soo cute!. The big clown is bobbing around like a fool it's adorable and the little one is just getting use to it's new home.

I was worried initially about the bigger clown dubbed 'Nemo' because he would sleep behind the downspout of my filter when the lights were out and would kind of chill in the slower current on his side. (after reading I found that clowns are known for doing this.) I still figured a friend would keep him from doing this action and maybe hide in the several caves I have set up for him.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Congrats!

I still find clown fish pairs to be very entertaining to watch, it never gets old for me.

Agreed, my clown pair are the stars of my tank.

That being said, my female is a PITA in terms of trying to make coral host her.

The bigger of the pair will will become female, even if it was male before. I just mention that because you say "he". ;)

happy it worked out for you. I did the exact same thing... at the exact same store.

my first two fish I purchased were clowns but I lost one after about six months. I bought a speck of a fish like you and they are still quite the item.

She does whip his butt every now and again what would a relationship be without the woman getting on you now and again?
