I know im new here but lets be real.....If you really loved these fish and never wanted to to them wrong, you would never put one in a tank.peroid If you were a true fish lover like a Greenpeace person or a sea shepherd nut job, you would only dive and look at them in person on their natural reef home...I dive, fish and live in and around the water, I personally feel bad sometimes putting such beautiful fish in my tank, but then i think of the islander in the pacific who is eating his brother, im going to enjoy the one fish for at least a year if not two or three, until he grows too large or some other reason it gets traded out for a smaller younger different specimen.

To everyone else... I am a extremely passionate person... I understand what everyone is trying to say... it is an awful selection... I can see getting a juvie fish and planning on moving when it grows to be a bit large for the space, as long as it is reasonable... this doesn't quite seem even close to try to stretch it... maybe if your current was a 55 and were planning on having the 175 going in the next few weeks... but hey im a rookie compared to many here.

But The Biggest thing i see here and every other freaking forum... People somehow feel like theyre invincible behind their keyboard. This is a good rule of thumb... dont talk to someone on a forum any differently than you would face to face. Because I have news... If a couple of you talked to me face to face like you tried on here... you would get punched in the mouth.

Just be nice people... give good advice... the best is scientific and if its opinion state it.

Sorry for the rant, but I have been reading here for a while and this seems to be the best group for a forum on the web!!!!!!! I understand how you can get excited and talk like a D!@&... i have to work(hard) all the time not to... but it happens... anyways

To the original poster... that is a beautiful fish.. unfortunately maybe a bad choice... but on the down low... i have a little naso in a 75g..SSSHHHH (which i plan on trading soon for a much smaller one or just go a different route)

you dive, fish and live around water yet you seem to have failed to understand what i was trying to say.

yes i would rather see these creatures out in the wild on a daily basis, sadly we don't have all the same chance as you...

this said..and it is sad, but there is a market out there for these creatures. what i was simply trying to convoy was a minimum sense of responsibility when it comes to purchasing animals. this is a rule of thumb that applies to all domestic "pets" by the way.

but hey, if a diver, fisher and sea living man says he is willing to have a fish for a couple years for his own entertainment then i guess he knows best right?....

    ah lala

and btw pay me a ticket to visit you or come to Geneva and will gladly tell you the same thing face to face ;)

No they don't. I'm not going to be cruel and keep a 10" fish in a 36 bowfront. He's gonna be in there for about a month, no big deal! Geez, I posted this pic for all to see as the fish is gorgeous and he will live a happy life. When he out grows my 175 then I will give him to someone with a bigger tank. He eats like a pig, gets along with everyone in the tank and never has he swam into or bumped the side of the aquarium.
