I need some advice, my friend is breaking down two of his tanks to sale off. He has a small clown trigger (maybe 1.5 inches), and has offered it to me for $10.00. I only have a 15 gallon tank to put it in that has only been cycling for 3 weeks. I know these are hardy fish but I do not want to harm him. What do you all think? I do plan on purchasing a 90 - 100 gallon tank in February - March time frame that I can move him into. I am not sure how quickly they grow?

I just completed the first amonia spike about 5 days ago and my conditions have gone back to zero.

    Thanks

I would not do it. That tanks to small and if you plan on having a reef hes not reef safe. Also that tanks way to small right now.

The future 100 will only be FOWLR tank. I did want to keep Angels at some point and I am not sure how the Clown Trigger and angels would get along in a 100 gallon. I am concerned about the size of the tank as well but mostly concerned at this point with the water conditions. Do you think it would just be too soon to chance losing the fish? This is tough for me because he is kind of desparate to get rid of his stock (lost job).

    Thanks.

It will die in a 15 gallon unless you have a 50 gallon sump.

Ok, I will pass on the Clown Trigger. My primary concern was not doing something that would harm it. Thanks for the advice.
