I would like to how many clowns to have in one tank? I have a 90gal reef with 3 anomones. I have 2 false perculas, 2 true perculas and 1 clark. Out of the 5 only the clark was going in one of the anomones so I bought another clark and because he is small the larger clark is beating him. What do I do? Why wont the other clowns take an anomone?

Clowns and anemones are always hit or miss, and the odds are against you if you don't have the anemone they commonly host.

true/false percs prefer carpets, ritteri, and sometimes bubble tip.

I'm not sure a 90 is big enough for that many clowns, there can be aggression between species so it's a little risky. Especially if one pair starts spawning they can be very territorial. Here's some more information.

What species of 'nems do you have? Not all clowns will host a given anemone. Some will find a new home in an unfamiliar species with enough time but it isn't always a given.

the best nem I have found to get various species to host in would be bta. With that being said, given long enough, you will end up with some dead clowns because it's hard to convince different species to co exist. I am having this problem with a maroon and a black occ. (no the maroon isn't the aggressor.)
