It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It's called "polyp bail out" not that uncommon with euphyllias. Usually caused by some stress, most likely the lighting change IMO. The bail out polyp usually die off eventually.

    Google it for further information.

I will add that an enthusiastic clown will damage the sensitive tissues of euphyllias and is not the best choice as a host for clowns.

3rd head is starting to go! only one more left before it is completely dead. :/
I feel bad for the Clown, since he has never left that thing since I got him!

It will most likely die. But it won't cause any issues - I mean to say, I wouldn't try removing it.

I had similar problems with my clowns. The female died last week and I'm rather glad for it. I had her for years, but she was a pain.

Anyway, LPS bail out, *IME*, is most often due to too high flow. euphyllias don't like high flow.

well thats odd! Do you think it will still host the torch skeleton? Will the clown suffer without it? I may have to go out and get an anemone.

A clown is just fine without a host. I would not buy anemone just for that purpose alone.

Clownfish do not need hosts. I'd advise against one as well.
