It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Based on how I have seen my clownfish grow about 3-5 years. Interesting to see what other have to say.

actually had to drift off onto google for this one
I read a few accounts of how they can reach maturity at approx 9 months

it seems from my reading that exactly what age they are when reaching full size
is subject to conditions they are kept in, foods they are fed etc

2 years was the earliest account I read of a False perc achieving adult size potential

I was discussing this just last night with someone else. He had two Oc. Clowns that were huge! But he has them in a 250 gallon tank. I had 2 clowns for 8 years in a 29 gallon and they only grew to half the size they probably are capable of. I agree with Steve, it all depends on the conditions in which they are housed. I wonder if there are any differences between wild caught and tankbred, and if that is a factor at all in their growth potential???

I bought mine exactly 1 years ago and they were really really small and they are probably 1 1/2" now. the store told me they get mature in about one year but did not happen for me, now I wish I would of got them a little bigger, when I got them they were always in the window they never swim within the rock work and maybe one week ago they just started swimming everywhere, so I am guessing they were to small to swim in the current. So that was my experience so far.

anywhere from a couple of years to five years. Just depends on what your feeding them and how much.

If someone is feeding 3 times a week flake food, your gunna get slow growth rate. But if some one is feeding meaty foods with loads of protein in it, its gunna grow faster..

I feed a mix..twice a week mysis..3 a week flake. Although feeding alot of meaty food may make your nitrates go up but as long as you have a decent skimmer and keep track of water changes then you should be good..

I'd say, mostly withing 2 years, and then maybe some more growth for a few more, but at a slower rate.

My clowns seem to be growing fast, they've put on almost a half inch since iv had them, and they were really small when i got them so noticing size difference is pretty easy
