Okay I found my missing clown. He has been holed up literally in a hole in the live rock. He hasn't eaten that I know of and won't come out to eat even garlic laced food. He has crammed himself totally vertical in a crevice in the rock???? what is going on here???? the water parameters are all zero sg is 1.025 temp 80 tank fully cycle. He has been in there since last saturday...he was swimming around and eating fine until yesterday morning when I couldn't find him in his usual corner in the morning when I got up. He had been harassed a bit by the chromis but they have settled down now.

Looks like the chromis picked on him too much. He's scared to death. I can't stand chromis, they're ugly and really aggressive. If I were you, I'd toss those little guys in the sump and stay with the percula. Try moving him to a QT and see if he get's better.

It really looks like those chromis beat the hell out of him.

He doesn't look too beat up. just scared. I will move him and his partner to the qt and hope he gets better if they do and start eating I will move them back once I get rid of the chromis.......I was told how peaceful they are for damsels. Big mistake.

well little clown didn't make it. He was totally stressed and beat up by the chromis that he just couldn't take it. I am in the rpocess of trying to remove the chromis who are fasters than a speeding bullet and almost impossible to catch.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

I have two green Chromis' and a Percula Clown, and it's funny because I really haven't had any problem with them. Now that you brought it to my attention regarding your problem, i'm noticing that my large Chromis is following my Percula. He isn't trying to bite the Percula though, just making his presence known. I'll have to keep my eye on them and possibly remove one of the two.

I've got 5 chromis with my small 2 percs in a 30g. There is the odd chase but no injury's after 2 months. So far so good.

Chromis are related to the damsel. So don't trust their temperment.
