Sometimes they shed when added sometimes they don't. The base being bent is OK. Your toadstool is normal, congrats.

The "stalk" may straighten in time. Make sure it has some flow going through it so when it goes through its routine shedding the skin will wash away. A clown may or may not be interested in it. Toad stools are more likely to host tank raised clowns vs wild clowns, as they dont naturally look for a Toad. My perc seems to like my TS but the two dont have that traditional host relationship you see with an anemone and a clown.
Also, you may want to run carbon if your not already, as Toad Stools can release some chems that irritate its neighbors.
    Looks good, man.

    IMO

the Toadstool is bent due to proximity to tank glass
it seems to have bent away from the tank wall in order it can fully expand its crown

if it was further away from the tank wall, I think it would probably straighten up

The polyps are at the end of the tentacles and are very small.. small like SPS polyps.
