So recently I went from a 125 to a 180 wide and did not upgrade my skimmer as it was relatively brand new.

I have the Octopus NW110, rated for 100 gallons and the pump is rated for 250gph.

In the old tank it really never created that much waste so thought it was adequate for my current need. As I really only fed the fish once a day, and fed my corals once a week.

Since being in the new tank I have started to feed 3 times a day with 22 fish. Mostly medium sized but a few large ones as well. I also feed my coral nightly before shutting the lights off.

I was expecting to see a lot more waste created by the skimmer but to ym surprise it didn't. I inspected it and cleaned it. Its making bubbles and foaming occasionally, I have even adjusted the water level valve to raise the level and lower it to see if it changed anything. Not much changed to say the least so I am concerned is it time for an upgrade? Or am I completely overlooking something?

I really liked the skimmer and price but I was looking at doing an upgrade as I was concerned I need to move to a larger scale skimmer that had higher outputs?

    Thoughts? Suggestions?
