I'm building a new canopy tomorrow for my 92 corner bowfront. I'm going to be installing 4 fans and I'm curious as to what everyone thinks is the best configuration.

because its a triangular shaped tank, I only have two sides, plus the front. So I'll definitely be putting two fans on each side ... I just don't know which direction they should blow.

2 fans pushing air out, 2 fans pushing air in

3 fans pushing air out, 1 fan pulling air in

1 fan pushing air out, 3 fans pushing air in

    what do you guys think?

Is this a canopy? If so I would go with the first one.

Do you think that 6 fans instead of 4 would be overkill and a waste of money?

I'm running a 400 watt Halide, and it will be a fully enclosed hood.

I also plan on adding two 24" t-5's and some moonlights.

I'm not sure how much heat will be generated, and how effective the fans will be.

Anyone with experience ... I'm definitely interested in some pointers

I have four T5's 54watts each. 55 gallon, fully enclosed hood. I have four fans 3.25's. Two fans blowing in, and two out. I was getting a fluctuation of temp of about 4 degrees when the lights went on. I ended up cutting the hood open in the back and putting two of the four fans on controller when temp rises to set amount. The other two fans run 24/7 The fans are on both sides of the hood blowing under the lights and across the water.
