I have found a seller of copepods, but im not sure how reliable it looks.
    Heres a link

2,500 Live Copepods + Macro Algae Live Coral Food - eBay (item 300278636975 end time Jan-03-09 17:46:14 PST)

It comes with free shipping and 2,500 pods w/ chaeto so it looked like a darn good deal for 30 bucks.
The free shipping is standard UPS ground. I have a very general knowledge of copepods, but I would think that they could last through the mail ok. Am I right, and does this site look ok?

    Thanks ahead of time!

Yeah, pods should last through the mail fine. Unsure about the chaeto, but i'm sure it will too. I'd look around your area for someone who has chaeto though, you could probably catch someone trimming theirs that might give you some for 10 bucks or something, and that will come with copepods as an added bonus - P.S. they multiply quite quickly.

I bought from them and I did not receive one live pod. and the chateo is nothing like the picture. I would order them from piece of the reef on eBay if you are going to order them.

I bought copepods on e-bay twice the first place sent an awesome batch of pods different kinds of pods and amphipods just a great order and it arrived on pieces of filter pad and everthing lived and I was happy to add it The 2nd guy sent me an order on a bottle with some macro algae and the whole batch was a smelly dead mess and I even looked at under magnification and I was very disappointed so the guy did send me another order and the same thing it was dead The bottom line is that the USPS does X-Ray packages and if it gets X-rayed the pods will arrive Dead and you are out the money. Look for the auction that is offering the Amphipod Copepod mixture I think It may be called Piece of the reef but I will doublecheck and get back to you

I've ordered 5000 pods from them before. Unless they are shipped overnight some pods wont make it. But mine was just fine. Packed very well. I bought two or three from them and my tank has a ton of them now.

As long as you have plenty of live rock then you should be fine.

When you get them, let them adjust to your tank and then add them at night. Leave the light off for two days after that.

You should be good after that.

Well looks like a mixed reaction on both sides. It says on there that there is a 100% guarantee or something, but most of the stuff they say on there is garbage and you have to look in the fine print anyway. Good idea though, I think I will try to go local and find someone on CORAreef.org, great site for Central Ohio reefers like myself. thanks for your input guys.

There is 100 % guarantee from them if you order next day air. If you order with their free shipping it is not guaranteed.

One suggestion is to always take advantage of insurance when it is offered, especially when buying on ebay. Depending on how the seller describes the package, USPS will not xray the package. If it is described as "non toxic sensitive live culture" they will not xray it. The seller will have to fill out one of those "non-hazardous materials" sheets, but it will prevent the stuff from getting killed.
    I bought it from here:
Chaetomorpha Macroalgae - Refugium Saltwater Chaeto - eBay (item 250341172088 end time Jan-09-09 17:44:21 PST)
He offers a guarantee that your stuff arrives alive or he will send another package. I got the insurance just to be safe anyway.
