Copods?

    I actually have a foam filter in the overflow to stop anything from going down to the bioballs. We pulled out the balls awhile back to see if that was part of our algae problem and they were amazingly clean so we didn't have to do anything to them. My fiance is in the process of adding a fuge to our tank as well. Work in progress.

    I wouldn't use any type of sponge filtration while feeding with marine snow or live phytoplankton. If you leave the sponge submerged in water, that migt be ok. The copepods usually make it their home since it give them shelter from predators and allows them to finish their life cycle.

    when i wake up yesterday i saw lots of this tiny pods in my refugium then today its all over in my DT they tripled in number in just a day, i left thinking til i read this because i was thinking something is bad happening to my tank
