If you found one locally that is eating, and you want one, I don't see any reason why you couldn't get a CBB.

Keep in mind that CBB's sometimes like to eat corals, and when they do, thy pick expensive LPS to munch on. And also, I'm sure you know it, but they will eat every last featherduster in the tank.

What corals do you have? and what are on your wish list?

As for corals, I have a torch and an elegance, I assume those are the ones it would go for? I also have a leather toadstool, a bush coral and some starburst polyps.

No feather dusters except a couple which appeared on the live rock - tiny and I'm not too worried about losing them.

No, I mean really expensive ones, like acans. From what I have seen from guys in my club that have kept CBB's in their reefs, they tend to eat acans and micromussa, but leave the bigger polyped LPS alone.

Everything should be fine, but IMO you need to decide between the tang or copperband, not both, since it's only a 90.

Thanks for the advice guys. As PackLeader suggested, I'm going to get a copperband instead of a tang, too. Now I just have to wait until I have the time to get it under way! :p

Hey again, bumping this thread instead of starting a new one.

I'm getting the fish on saturday, and it will be quarantined in my 35 litre QT. Is it possible to keep one in this size tank for a short period (7 days?) while I make sure it's okay and get it eating?

The fish itself is 3" and the tank is 16" long.

LFS's keep them for sometimes longer than that in smaller tanks like 20G L.

I dont think you're going to have PETA protesting or anything - as long as there isnt any waterboarding going on that is :)

Ahaha, that's a good point you make! :p Just concerned about stressing the fish out or something, but I'd rather quarantine than have something go wrong, especially with a difficult fish!

It's my understanding that it should be about 9 US Gallons, roughly?
