    ok so i jsut got a small (like 2 inch) copperbanded butterfly, will they eat flake foods??? um mysis shrimp? what else, i hope like an easier to manage food, i feed all my fish flakes so it would be easier, even my purple tang eats them lol.

    It will eat mysis shrimp (and every single feather duster/fan worm you have in your tank). It might also eat your clams and corals if the fish isn't collected from Australia :)

    was he eating atthe store? They normally r hard to feed use food that contains garlic to help with appetite

    they said he ate mysis shrimp, and something else, and he said he ate pellet foods.

    I love all angel fish but they will nip at corals, I hope you dont have any corals.

    It is a butterfly ;)

    FWIW, collection has nothing to do with tendencies to nip at corals. An aussie C.rostratus is just as likely to nip as any other...They do have a deeper orage color though ;)

    Feed it a mixed diet, mysis and brine soaked in selcon will do the trick. They will wipe out your feather dusters and likely pick at meaty corals.

    Not to preach, but it looks like your have a newer tank and fairly small volume. This can be very finicky fish. Get it eating prepared foods ASAP. Let us know if you have any problems and good luck :D

    I recently got one. It won't eat flake at all. Seems to like Mysis and brine shrimp. It took it a few days to start eating, but now that it has he eats great.

    Explains what happened to all my feather dusters though...
