Coral ID

    I found this coral at my local petstore for $19 and thought I would go ahead and get it. Hopefully it was a good deal but neither the store nor I could determine what type of coral it is. Hopefully it was a good deal :confused:

    Here's several pics...could someone help me ID this?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I would say it's a Digitata, that needs some TLC. It will be easier to make an ID if it shows any polyp extention.

    IMO, and with out seeing the coralite structure... it's a Porites. The polyps look to dense and too small to be a M. digitata.

    Thanks guys...I wasn't thinking by taking a pic in the day...I'll see if I can catch it when it has expanded its polyps. The past two days, I haven't seen the polyps extending but it looks slightly better than when I got it.

    Gresham....that's perfect (the link)...I checked them out and the patterns looks like what I have. I'll still try to get a better pic but I appreciate all the help!
