I recently aquired a really nice specimen(well kinda) from my lfs. I say kinda because there is only a inch and a half still alive on a five inch skeleton. It is a purple/peach tipped frogspawn, i got it because i like the colors, i practically stole it for what i got it for, and i was hoping i could bring it back. My question is should i frag off the piece thats still alive or leave it alone? I know that if you trim all the dead stuff off a plant it helps the new growths and buds etc. thrive, im just trying to see if its the same concept.

Yes it is, in a way, the same concept. You should trim away the dead skeleton.
    Good Luck ;)
