Coraline?

    I have some white dots on the front glass of my tank. Looks like Coraline, is Coraline white when it first starts it just appeared today if its not coraline what is it?

    Nope. Coralline would be pink or light purple in color.

    Typically coralline colors are mostly pink or some other shade of red, but may also be purple, yellow, blue or gray-green.

    The only way that coralling algae turns white, is if it is bleaching/dying or if it has a small white spot-then it is how it grows!

    sounds like pods not coraline IMO.

    are they spiral in shape? if so i think they are little tube worms. also how old is your system mine is about 3 1/2 months and they just showed up in my tank about 2 weeks ago.

    Yup! Spirorbid worms!! Good to have though they deplete calcium levels as does Coralline algae!
