Did you have cured live rock from the start or did you add it late?
I had a bunch of cured rock from the start and it helped dramatically. My tank is not 1 month and 1 day old and I have coralline blooming all around my rocks. Green, pink and purple/red.
Also, how long are you running your acintic lights?

Don't feel bad, my main tank is almost 5 years old and I have very little coralline algae on the rocks, none on the tank walls, and none on the powerheads. The amount that I have on the rocks have other algae covering it, so I can't see much of it anyway. I jsut bought 10 turbo snails and they are getting rid of the GHA, so I can see purple on my rock again finally. But having a lot of coralline can have its problems too, they can clog the powerheads and overflow if it gets out of control. It's pretty, but it is still an algae.

As soon as I started keeping my Ca at 460 and my Mg at around 1400 or above, it started growing like crazy. Very cool.

I guess I should test my Mg level. I have had a test kit sitting there for a year, completely untouched. *shame on me* I know my Ca is about 450-500 though.

My Mg is at 1350 and my dKH is about 14. My rocks are purple under the algae, my snails are doing a good job. :)

I like the purple on the rocks, i just hate it on everything else, seem with one you almost have to have the other.
