    I heard Metal Halides don't promote as much Coraline as Fluorescents do.

    I also have no coraline on the glass of my 90 gallon.... My calcium levels are really high... can they be too high. And I take it MG refers to magnesium?

    How high is your cal? Your cal should be 430-500 range. Your mg should be around 1380-1550.

    +1 scraping glass is the a chore.

    - if you want to spread coralline - take scrapings from the glass in the refugium. Sprinkle them in your tank- have the pumps off. Let stand for 30 minutes to an hour - time.
