I'm pretty sure it was a copper wire brush, it was brand new and really clean. I was just so frustrated with the GHA that I went to great lengths to get rid of it. I did rinse the rocks a ton afterwards to reduce die off, like 10 or 12 times, the water ran clear after like the 5th rinsing. I do test often, every Sunday, I keep notes on the levels, but I recently lost them :) I have to start a new one. The picture does not give justice at all, idk why it always shows up in pictures! Now that I think of it, I might just get nothing at all for my aquarium. :(

I ended up getting a GBTA! Hahaha, I named it Bubbles :) My mom actually bought it for me because she thought Blemo needed a friend after I taught her about clownfish and host anemones, hopefully Blemo will host for her. Now it's Blemo and Bubbles! Hahaha, I also got 4 Cory's for my freshwater 30 gallon. I'll post a pic later, it's pretty small because it just split from the the other BTA at the store, you can still see where it split. It opened up within an hour of acclimating and it's tentacles are nice and "bubbled up." Which means their getting enough light, she's even eaten two krill. I'm really happy, and she was only $59.

Umm, copper brush? Do you know that copper is very toxic to inverts and corals? Also, I was looking at the BTA you got and was wondering how old your tank is? If it's less than a year or so then you shouldn't be getting one as they need a well established tank.

How old is your tank and what type of lighting do you have? You may want to consider cerith snails. Turbo snails are great too. Reefcleaners.org is what most people around here use. They will help you figure out what you need/want.
Zoas and mushrooms are considered easy.

I don't think it was copper, it was just a metal brush, but i don't think it would matter considering the multitude of rinsing and it was liquid or copper-based medicine.

My tank will be 1 year old on December 29, I knew I should have researched more. But I think I'll be able to pull it off because she is doing fantastic, she's already eaten a few more krill and even a misplaced Formula One pellet, it's amazing the way they eat!
