    in my fugei have a LR with what apears to be cotton balls or spider eggs. srrry no pic dont have internet at new house yet. what could this be?

    As mentioned, you probably have Scypha (AKA pineapple sponges). They show up in the presence of small particulates or DOC's which they filter out of the water as food:

    kool. and thats what it looks like as well. is there a way to control them? im starting to get a lot in my fuge.

    the sponges will decrease with a decrease in available nutrients.
